Have you had this type of vacation? You arrive at your hotel, settle in, and prepare for a magical, relaxing trip. Then, all of a sudden, your phone dings. You wake up from your peaceful state and realize you have work or assignments to do over your break.
This is never fun, especially at Walt Disney World. You could finish your work in your room, but the room might become boring after a while, and you start to feel restless. You are on vacation; there are other places to work productively without being cooped up in a room. Well, if this sounds familiar, this post is just for you. Here is our guide for working in the parks, whether you are on vacation or need a break from your home office.
Before you read any further if you are considering working in the parks:
- Bring noise-canceling earbuds.
- Use a small laptop or iPad.
- Keep your items to a minimum because they complicate your area.
The Yellow Umbrellas by the Plaza Restaurant – Magic Kingdom

This is an awesome place to get a little work while still immersed in Magic Kingdom. You have a great view of the castle and can see the lively Main Street. One of the downsides of this spot is that there is a little bit of noise. Music plays on Main Street, and the crowds can make a little commotion. But if this doesn’t bother you, this is a great place.
Connections at Epcot

This is one of my favorite spots to do work. It has easy access to snacks, water, and restrooms, and one of the best parts of this location is its charging ports at the tables. One con is that there can be limited seating sometimes during the day. Going to Connections in the morning is best to find the perfect seat for you.
Discovery River Seating at Animal Kingdom
Over at Animal Kingdom, you will find tranquil seating along the Discovery River. Many tables and chairs are yours for the picking. This location is so relaxing and peaceful with all the nature around you that it will surely boost your productivity. If you have difficulty focusing on your work with lots of nature around you, this could be one catch to this serene location.
PizzeRizzo Hollywood Studios
This is a great place to grab a snack or lunch and find a table to set up shop. There is a lot of seating, but upstairs will have better and more secluded options. It might be a little noisy because it is a quick service, but there will be much less noise upstairs.
Disney Springs Welcome Center at Disney Springs
There are a lot of seating options at Disney Springs. Try checking out the Disney Springs Welcome Center in Town Center. There are many tables with umbrellas around Disney Springs’ Welcome Center, and some charging ports are available. If you prefer indoor seating, grab your favorite caffeinated drink and pastry and sit at Starbucks on the Disney Springs West Side.
If you ever find yourself working from Walt Disney World or need a change of scenery from your usual home office, don’t worry! There are plenty of excellent spots around the resort to get work done. Trust me, you won’t regret trying any of these options. So go ahead and give them a shot!
