Disney has just announced that these critters will include Byhalia the Beaver, Gritty the Rabbit, Beau the Opossum, Apollo the Raccoon, Rufus the Turtle, and Timoléon the Otter.
The characters will be performing “Gonna Take You There” from the film, and each character will play a different musical instrument. Byhalia the Beaver will be on percussion, Gritty the Rabbit will be playing a washboard made from a license plate, Beau the Opossum will be playing an upright gourd bass, Apollo the Raccoon will be playing a squeezebox, Rufus the Turtle will be playing a harmonica, and Timoléon the Otter will be playing a fiddle. Together, these critters will create an unforgettable musical experience that visitors will cherish for years.
Even more exciting is the speculation surrounding the numbers on Gritty’s license plate. The plate reads “LA23 52872,” which some are speculating might hint at a special preview on May 28th and the official opening on July 2nd. This isn’t the first time that Disney has given hints in its announcements. It’s these little details that add to all the magic.
