Disney just announced the second group of new critter characters coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! They are Octavia and Pawpaw, the bobcats; Claude, Bernadette, and Sebastián, the Louisiana black bears; and Phina, the gray fox. A little bit ago, Disney announced a group of critters playing Zydeco music during the attraction. This group will play Rara music, a musical tradition from Haiti with a strong history in New Orleans, often at festivals. Let’s get to know these characters!
Octavia is an adorable and brave bobcat kitten who loves climbing trees and performing. Her grandfather, Pawpaw, loves to make her smile. Pawpaw says things will work itself out in life; Disney also noted that “he has seen it all but isn’t jaded.” (What has he been through??)
Then we have the family of Louisiana black bears. In the family are Claude, Bernadette, and their little cub Sebastián. Claude and Bernadette play the horn, but Sebastián found his own path to the drums! Claude is a creator with things he finds in the forest, and Bernadette is a clear thinker and supportive mother. She loves swimming and caring for her “mama’s cub.” Sebastián is best friends with Octavia, the bobcat, and loves looking at the little details in the forest.
Lastly, we have Phina, the gray fox! She is an optimistic and enthusiastic drummer and loves thinking of new ideas. She’s always starting new projects with the support of her friends!
